Taki

Takahiro "Ryudaibori" Kitamura, better known as "Taki," has been tattooing since 1998 with a focus on traditional Japanese tattooing. In 2002 he founded State of Grace Tattoo and continues as owner/operator with his wife Molly. Taki and Molly also own and operate Hardy Marks Publications from this location. He is the author and publisher of numerous books on tattoo culture and has curated three major exhibitions: Perseverance: Japanese Tattoo Tradition in a Modern World (Japanese American National Museum), Tatau — Marks of Polynesia (also JANM), and Living Tattoo Traditions: American Irezumi and Beyond (SF Public Library).
