Do you accept walk-ins?

No. All services at State of Grace are by appointment only. Please contact your artist directly or fill out our booking form to get started.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book in two ways: contact your preferred artist directly using their contact information on their artist page, or fill out our scheduling form and we'll connect you with the right artist. Each artist manages their own booking process.

Do I need to book with a specific artist?

You're welcome to request a specific artist or select 'No preference' on our booking form. If you're unsure, describe your idea and we'll suggest who might be the best fit.

Is there a deposit required?

Deposit policy varies per artist. Your artist will walk you through their specific requirements when you book.

What is your minimum price?

Our minimum is $100. All pricing beyond that is determined by consultation — size, placement, complexity, and the artist all factor in.

Do you do cover-ups?

Yes. Cover-ups are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please note it in your booking form or when reaching out to your artist, and include a photo of the existing tattoo if possible.

We're at 221 Jackson St, San Jose, CA 95112 — in the heart of San Jose's Japantown. We're open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 AM to 7 PM. Closed Mondays.

Street parking is available around the shop. Parking is free on Sundays and holidays.

Absolutely — we encourage it. You can share links to reference images (Google Drive, Dropbox, Instagram) directly in our booking form, or bring them to your consultation.
